workshops

my first workshop was ceramics its part of our "the world I live in project" our task was to start of with a figurine and then to make it like us by either positioning the figure or adding items to or around it that mean or represent something to us. for mine I decided to have mine sat down with a straight posture because I've always been told the I sit with my back straight. I also had one arm holding up because im quite girly and if I say something sometimes I do that action I also carved a smiley face because I am quite a positive and bubbly person, and I love a good laugh. I was hoping to add some mini nail polishes and lipstick but I didn't get time to. I also added a dress because I love my fashion and really love wearing flowery dresses. here's my final piece.
For my second workshop as my specialism is fine art, this week we did lino printing, we had to link it, like ceramics to "the world we live in project" I choose to do my family and friends in Julian Opie style which I have done for part of my artist research. I choose to do me my mum and my two friends Megan and Charlie who are in my primary research. here are examples of Julian Opie and how I put my family and friends into it.

once I had drawn it out I then traced over the picture ready to trace on to the lino.

I then traced it out onto the lino ready to cut out with the lino cutters.
once I did that I got my lino and drew over the picture again but this time with the lino underneath so the picture transfers onto the lino.
